Browsing the site

The site has no advertising. The public pages count visits: we record the page, the site that linked you to it, and any campaign tag in the link. No cookie is set, and nothing that identifies you (your IP address, your browser) is kept with that count. Pages behind sign-in aren’t counted.

The server sees ordinary request details: IP address, requested URL, timestamp, and user agent. Standard access logs may keep those for running and troubleshooting the site.

Your account

An account is an email address. You sign in with a code we email you, or with Google or Discord, which tell us only that address. A cookie keeps you signed in for 30 days. We store your address, the cities you subscribe to, and which finds we’ve emailed you, so we never send one twice. If you link your Discord account, we store its ID and username so our bot can give you the Member role in the RigFlip server, and take it back if you unlink or your membership ends.

Payments go through Stripe. Stripe holds your card details; we keep only its customer and subscription references.

If you ask for a city we don’t cover yet, we keep your address to write to you when we add it.

Using the feed

The app keeps your saved listings and a few preferences (the last city you viewed, light or dark appearance, that you’re signed in) in your browser’s local storage so they’re still there when you come back. You can clear them with your browser’s site-data controls. The entries are prefixed rigflip-astra:.

Listings come from public Facebook Marketplace pages. Photos are copied to our own storage because Facebook’s links expire.

Following seller links

Appraisals link to Facebook Marketplace, eBay, retailers, and other parts sellers. Once you follow a link, that site’s privacy practices apply.

Leaving

Cancel from your account page; your cities stay on until the end of the month you paid for. To delete your account and its data, email support@rigflip.net from the address on the account.
